Peter Silverman is President of Hi-Genomics. He is also a partner at the law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick. His degrees are B.A., George Washington University, Pol. Sc., 1977; J.D., University of Michigan, 1981.

For his work in helping to create entrepreneurial growth, he was awarded the Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1989; the Kauffman Award for Outstanding Public Service in Support of Entrepreneurship Award in 1992; and the Ohio Jaycees Outstanding Young Ohioan in November 1993. He has served on numerous local, national and international boards supporting charitable causes and in the Jewish community, and has been an elected official for two terms on Toledo City Council and two terms on the Toledo School Board.
