Hi-Genomics, LLC has patent-pending technologies in tissue culture and genetic transformation, which it licenses exclusively from the Plant Science Research Center at the University of Toledo. Our technology couples high output, rapid, genotype independent regeneration to high frequency DNA transfer using either Agrobacterium or biolistic transformation.

We produce transgenic soybean, alfalfa, cotton, ornamentals, maize, sorghum, festuca, lolium and tripsacum in four to nine months, depending on the species.

Our patent pending in vitro flowering tissue culture technology yields a new generation of soybeans every 75 days. Four generations are possible in a year, which makes the technology superior for both traditional plant breeding and the generation of transgenics.

Our new split-seed maize tissue culture technology produces on average 28 fertile plants per half seed in four months. The technology is genotype independent and on average yields one transgenic plant per seed cultured.

Our technologies allow for faster and more robust breeding, genetic transformation, research and development, production and market release than any competing technology.

We are based in Toledo, Ohio. Our laboratory operates out of leased space at the University of Toledo’s Plant Science Research Center, a state-of-the-art facility.
